The Mature Student’s Officer is responsible for organising a mature student’s society and encouraging mature students to participate within it. They will liaise with the FE and HE Officers on matter arising concerning mature students. Help provide a perspective on issues which affect mature students to the executive committee, and ensure it is recognised in all of the unions work.

They will also establish and maintain contacts with mature students groups in other unions throughout the country and NUS mature students committee.
And establish a number of projects relating to the mature students’ education, welfare and social needs at the beginning of the year, as agreed by the Executive Committee
