The Events Officer

Who shall be a member of the executive committee and a member of the Trustee Board of the Union, if over the age of 18; shall:

  1. Organise and publicise a variety of events and other social activities to reflect the interests of all sections of the student body at City College
  2. Establish and maintain contact with relevant clubs, societies, sports groups, companies and organisations to the advantage of students
  3. Establish and maintain contact with relevant officers at other colleges
  4. Establish and maintain contact with NUS Ents
  5. Be responsible in conjunction with the Vice President of Activites and Community for the sale and distribution of tickets and the collection of monies for activities, under the direction of the Trustee Board
  6. In conjunction with the Vice President, Activities and Community, and under the direction of the Trustee Board, ensure that all money from ticket sales is banked as soon as possible
  7. Attend and facilitate the Events Student Involvement Group with the Vice President, Activities and Community and the Deputy President.
  8. Consult with students at the beginning of the year and design an events programme, in conjunction with the Deputy President and the Vice President of Activities and Community, for the whole of the academic year on the basis of information received
  9. Present relevant reports to the Executive Committee and give weekly updates to the Vice President, Activities and Community
  10. Carry out other duties as laid down by the Executive Committee and Student Parliament
  11. Be a member of Student Parliament and present relevant reports
  12. Act reasonably and prudently in all matters, and in the best interests of the Students’ Union
