The Vice President of Activities and Communities
Who shall be a member of the executive committee and a member of the Trustee Board of the Union, if over the age of 18; shall:
- In conjunction with the Deputy President, give support to the Clubs and Societies Officer, the Events officer and the Campaigns and Environment Officer in their relevant areas of work
- To request updates from the relevant officers on their weekly business (Clubs and Societies Officer, the Events officer and the Campaigns and Environment Officer)
- Liaise with relevant College staff, such as the Enrichment Co-ordinator, in order to assist in the maintenance and development of the College’s Enrichment program
- Meet and liaise with local businesses to secure reductions for students on leisure activities
- Be responsible for the gathering of information on discounts and promoting these to students
- To establish contact with other students union across the country, to exchange good practice on campaigning
- To update the President and Deputy President on the Activities and Community Officers work at least once every two weeks
- Present relevant reports to the student union Executive Committee and give weekly updates to the President and Deputy President
- Carry out other duties as laid down by the executive committee and union parliament
- Be a member of union parliament and present relevant reports
- Act reasonably and prudently in all matters, and in the best interests of the union
